This Hiace has been a daily driver the past couple years. It's a right hand drive with full time 4wd. It's got a peppy little turbo diesel engine (3.0L 1KZ-TE) with low mileage on it. This has been an incredibly reliable car for me that hasn't had any issues with it.

Work done on the van since imported:

New timing belt, pulleys, water pump, brakes, 2 inch Roamer lift with Falken AT tires, AC belt replaced, radiator flushed, EGR delete, and regular oil changes as needed.

These are great little vans that a lot of people are converting to camper vans or just driving as is. There is very minimal rust for a 26 year old vehicle and the interior is very clean. There is a small crack on the windshield but no work is needed that I’m aware of.

The 1KZ Turbo Diesel Super Custom Hiace is a beast. It drives comfortable on the freeway and gets up over mountain passes with no troubles at all. The perfect van for driving in the US, especially if you’re in mountainous areas.

It’s an automatic transmission with full-time 4WD that handles snowy winters really well but also holds it’s own when going off the tarmac. It doesn’t have High / Low range options so won’t be an off road champion, but it’ll get most places off the grid with no troubles.

This van is extremely clean and only has 116,700 kilometers on it (72,500 miles). The interior has a 90’s theatre vibe with the seat and carpet combo. It’s super comfortable with many seating configurations. Inside you’ll find:
